UQ Art Museum
À Propos de Cette Opportunité
Murmurations is a free, in‑person two‑hour workshop on 13 November 2026 (5:30 am–9:00 am) at the University of Queensland St Lucia campus. Participants will begin with a dawn bird‑watching walk on Yuggera and Turrbal Country, encouraged to draw, listen and commune with the birds. The walk continues into a polyvocal reading group that layers decolonial thinking, place, environmental change and more‑than‑human kin. At the end, participants collectively reflect through writing, drawing, observation and conversation, and may offer their responses back to the birds. The workshop is a collaboration between artist Eugenia Lim and environmental scientist Coen Hird. No prior bird‑watching experience is required. Participation is limited and secured via an Expression of Interest (EOI) form that closes on 25 October 2026. The event is part of the Reflective Motives two‑day program hosted by UQ Art Museum and the Climate Aware Creative Practices Network.
