Appel à candidatures pour Kiruna, Capitale européenne de la culture 2029
Kiruna 2029
À Propos de Cette Opportunité
Kiruna 2029, the city selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2029, is calling for large- and medium-sized artistic projects and early-stage ideas to be part of its official artistic programme. The call is open to all artistic disciplines and is divided into two tracks: "Artistic Project" for fully developed proposals and "Test an Idea" for early-stage concepts. The Artistic Project deadline is 31 October 2026, while the Test an Idea deadline is 31 December 2026. Projects must be led by an external organisation (for the Artistic Project track) and must have a clear and relevant connection to Kiruna. International organisations are welcome as lead applicants. Kiruna 2029 can contribute up to 50 % of the total project budget; there are no restrictions on which costs can be covered. In addition to financial support, selected projects will receive communication support and integration into the city’s cultural activities. The selection process is based on five criteria: European Adventure, Finding New Ways, Power of Culture, Homemaking, and Perspectives. Applications are submitted through online forms (links provided) and may be accompanied by a detailed budget and project plan. The call is open to individuals for the Test an Idea track and to organisations for the Artistic Project track. No Swedish personal identity number is required. The programme aims to foster artistic experimentation, cross‑border collaboration, and community engagement in the context of Kiruna’s transformation and cultural heritage.
