Juin 2027 : Résidence d'artistes à Hayama

The Hayama Artist Residency, founded in 2012, invites visual artists from around the world to experience Japanese culture and present their first gallery exhibition in Japan. The 2027 edition runs from June 1 to June 30, providing a four‑week residency in the coastal town of Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Applicants are selected by the director and an international selection committee of curators and arts professionals. The program includes a round‑trip flight to either Narita or Haneda airports, shared accommodation for the full duration, and a $800 USD stipend to cover meals and local transportation. At the end of the residency, all artists participate in a group exhibition that showcases their work alongside fellow residents. The call is open to any visual artist over 21, working in any medium, regardless of nationality, and applications are accepted in English. First‑time applicants must pay a $95 USD application fee; returning applicants receive a new link via email. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 pm Eastern Time on September 30, 2026, with notification of selected artists by December 15, 2026. Applications are submitted through Submittable.
