À Propos de Cette Opportunité

The Hearst Center for the Arts in Cedar Falls, Iowa, has launched the Gary Kelley Artist in Residence program, a twelve‑month residency honoring the legacy of local illustrator and painter Gary Kelley. The residency is open to artists residing in the Cedar Valley region who work in two‑dimensional media—painting, drawing, printmaking, and illustration—and excludes digital or AI‑generated work. Applicants submit a portfolio of 8–12 images, a brief statement, and a CV; there is no application fee. The selected artist receives dedicated studio space at the Hearst Center, a $2,500 stipend paid in three installments, a $3,000 framing allotment, and a solo exhibition of the resulting body of work in the Hearst Center gallery at the end of the residency. The program also requires the artist to donate one completed work to the Hearst Center’s permanent collection. Applications are accepted from August 15 to September 18, 2026, and the winner will be announced in October 2026.
