Matched Funding for Artists and Artist Groups – Intermediate is a national initiative run by Creative Australia that supports artists and artist groups who have some private‑sector fundraising experience and are ready to develop more consistent, strategic approaches to private‑sector support. The program offers up to $10,000 in matched funding, dollar‑for‑dollar, for eligible private‑sector income raised during the campaign period, and includes a structured capability‑development package. Participants receive a 2.5‑day in‑person fundraising workshop in Melbourne (16‑18 February 2027), one‑on‑one support, and cohort‑based learning. The call is open to Australian citizens or permanent residents aged 18+ with an ABN or auspicing arrangement, based in Australia, and who can attend the workshop and run a fundraising campaign from 26 February 2027 to 1 December 2027. Applicants must not have participated in the 2025/26 MATCH Lab, have no overdue grant reports or outstanding debt to Creative Australia, and cannot be school groups. Creative Australia will cover travel and accommodation costs for the workshop, and the program runs from 24 November 2026 to 1 December 2027, with project completion required by 1 December 2028.
