À Propos de Cette Opportunité

FIGURES, the Slow & Contemporary Photography platform behind the FIG001 book, is renewing its mentorship & dummy book programme for a second year, dedicated to supporting emerging artists in developing and finalising new photographic projects. Through this open call, FIGURES will select projects that are in the very early stages of creation—no finished images are required. Selected artists receive personalised, in‑depth guidance through 12 monthly 1.5‑hour online mentorship sessions with founder and editor‑in‑chief Nicolas Blanchadell, a mid‑programme meeting with a renowned artist/curator, and a final session with a professional art‑book graphic designer. At the end of the programme each artist receives a printed dummy book, a ready‑to‑print PDF, and all supporting material. The programme scales with participation: for every 150 entries one program winner is selected, plus ten additional projects receive a one‑hour individual review. The call is open to all nationalities, ages 18 and over, and welcomes all photographic practices, including mixed‑media projects where photography is at least 50% of the final work. The entry fee is €10, or €25 if the applicant purchases the FIG001 issue at discount price; applicants facing financial hardship may request a waiver. If the programme does not receive the minimum 150 valid applications, it will be cancelled and all €10 entrants refunded. The programme is fully online, with no travel or housing support required.
