Kanal – Centre Pompidou, a new museum of modern and contemporary art in Brussels, is hiring a Collections Officer (Attaché de collection) to join its Art Department. The role involves supporting the Collections Manager in acquisition case preparation, documentation, loan coordination, preventive conservation, and the development of a digital collections database. Responsibilities include researching artworks, writing collection entries, handling contracts, rights, insurance, transport, and condition reports, as well as managing loans to external venues. The officer will also contribute to digitisation projects, photography, and online catalogue development, and respond to research enquiries. Candidates must have training in art history, conservation or a related field, at least two years of relevant experience, fluency in French (Dutch an advantage), and good English. The position is permanent, full‑time, based in Brussels with regular travel to Zaventem.
