The Enduring Art of Gentle Pointing Fingers is a juried Deaf art exhibition seeking 2D and 3D artworks that expand the recognition of Deaf Art within the mainstream art world. Curated by Daniel Katz‑Hernandez with jurors Tabitha Jacques, Noel King, and Katz‑Hernandez, the exhibition will be shown at the Anderson Center at Tower View in Red Wing, Minnesota from February 20 through April 17, 2027. Submissions must be created within the last three years, be no larger than 48 inches on the longest side, and reflect at least two of four overlapping characteristics: Deaf lived experience, advocacy and social issues, sign language and expression, or Deaf community and culture. Artists must be located in the United States, as international shipping cannot be accommodated. The call is free to apply and offers the opportunity for selected works to be exhibited publicly, gaining exposure to audiences and inclusion in the exhibition’s promotional materials.
