Beta-Local

Beta-Local is an independent, artist‑run organization in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, that supports socially engaged and research‑based practices. Their La Práctica program is a six‑month residency for ten practitioners (artists, writers, curators, activists). Residents receive a private studio, a $500 USD per month stipend, weekly group seminars, and the opportunity to engage deeply with Puerto Rican culture and politics through public programs. Applications are open until September 15 2026, after which the selected cohort will begin the residency in 2027. The call is open to individuals of any nationality and does not require an application fee.
