À Propos de Cette Opportunité
The Anne Feeney Hellraiser Memorial Fund, fiscally sponsored by the Labor Heritage Foundation, is a small grant program that honors the legacy of folk musician and activist Anne Feeney. Each year the fund awards five grants of up to $1,000 to emerging artists of any discipline who produce work that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable, supporting social movements for justice. Eligible applicants include musicians, poets, painters, puppeteers, theater makers, muralists, and other creators who use their art as a tool for activism. The grant can be used to fund recording projects, tours, the creation of original music, theater productions, murals, or other artistic endeavors. Winners receive the right to use the “hellraiser” designation on their business card, a symbolic nod to Feeney’s legacy. Applications are accepted online through Action Network and are due by August 24, 2026; winners will be announced on Labor Day, September 7, 2026. The program is free to apply for and offers no application fee. The fund is managed by Anne’s daughter Amy Sue Berlin, her longtime friend and touring partner Evan Greer, and the Labor Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.
