Atelier Josepha / ARS BALTICA : Résidences pour artistes de la région de la mer Baltique 2026 (Allemagne)
On the Move
À Propos de Cette Opportunité

Atelier Josepha, a flexible studio and cultural space on the Baltic Sea coast in Ahrenshoop, Germany, is calling for solo artists of all disciplines—painting, sculpture, installation, photography, sound, music, dance, literature, and performance—to participate in a three‑week residency in autumn/winter 2027. The residency, part of a tradition of cultural exchange across the Baltic Sea, encourages critical engagement with the region’s historical, ecological, and cultural conditions. Applicants must be residents of a country that borders the Baltic Sea; residents of other EU countries may apply if they have a close connection to the region. There is no age limit. The residency period will be three weeks between September and December 2027, with full‑time presence required. Artists receive a stipend of €1,500 (€500 per week), lodging in a neighbouring house (board not included), travel expenses to and from Ahrenshoop, and up to €250 for materials (proof of expenditure required). Participants must agree to photographic and filmic documentation of the residency, which will be archived and may be published by both the artist and Atelier Josepha. Applications are submitted by email to josepha@arsbaltica.net (cc: post@josepha.org) as a single PDF (max 14 pages, 5 MB) containing contact details, a brief project description, a detailed synopsis, portfolio, and CV. The selection board, together with former residents, will award the residency based on relevance to the Baltic Sea theme and artistic quality. Successful applicants will be notified by 15 January 2027.
