À Propos de Cette Opportunité

NIRMAN, an independent educational and cultural centre in Varanasi, India, invites applications for its 2026–27 residency season. The programme welcomes artists, artistic researchers, writers, educators, filmmakers, musicians, scholars, and other interdisciplinary practitioners, with a particular emphasis on those whose work bridges artistic practice and research. Residents will be hosted on NIRMAN’s living campus, which includes a city campus and a riverside campus in the Gangavan Forest. The residency offers four‑week independent cohorts of 8–10 residents, as well as collaborative, thematic, and family‑extended formats. Participants receive studio and workspace, communal meals, opportunities to engage in Hindustani music baithaks, forest walks, boat journeys on the Ganga, and a concluding public showcase. Community activities are optional, allowing residents to balance focused work with campus life. Need‑based scholarships are available to support participants. Applications are open with priority consideration until 31 August 2026, after which they will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The residency is part of NIRMAN’s recurring annual programme, with the current season running from October 2026 to April 2027.
