AMAZÔNIA: AMAZON SESSION is a multidisciplinary artist immersive residency program taking place in Alter do Chão, Pará, Brazil, from 9 November to 30 November 2026 (approximately three weeks, with a two‑week minimum). Hosted by Casa Na Ilha, the residency gathers up to ten participants from any discipline and career stage to work in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Artists receive shared accommodation (private rooms on request), two meals per day, a welcome and farewell dinner, field trips, electricity, Wi‑Fi, kitchen facilities, and on‑site guidance from two curators. A single group transfer from Santarém airport is provided. Participants are responsible for international travel, visas, personal materials and any extra activities. The program operates on a participation fee of 2980 USD (full value of the three‑week residency), payable in two installments (50 % deposit within 10 days of acceptance, remaining 50 % 60 days before arrival). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; interested artists request the application form via the website and receive a decision within seven days. The residency is open to artists worldwide, any career stage, and allows collaborative teams (up to ten participants). Pets are not allowed; spouses/partners may stay for the full period. The residency emphasizes artistic foraging, ecological immersion, and community engagement, offering a unique environment for deep research and creation.
