À Propos de Cette Opportunité

The Alaska State Parks Artist‑in‑Residence program provides artists of all disciplines from anywhere in the world the opportunity to spend up to five days in a State Parks cabin exploring Alaska’s scenic and recreational resources. The 2027 season application period opened on 1 October 2026 and closes on 31 October 2026, with selections announced by 30 November 2026. Selected artists receive cabin accommodation, a private workspace, and the chance to engage the public through a community outreach activity such as a workshop, talk, or performance. In exchange, each artist must donate at least one original artwork, photograph, or written piece inspired by their residency, and they are responsible for their own travel costs. The program does not provide a stipend, but it offers a unique environment for creation and public engagement. An application fee of $50 is required. The residency is administered by the Division of Parks & Outdoor Recreation in Anchorage, Alaska. Applications are submitted via a PDF form linked on the program page.
