À Propos de Cette Opportunité

AfriQ Arts: Championing Revolutionary Love is a New York City‑based series of community dialogues and a fundraising gala organized by UHAI US, the East African Sexual Health and Rights Initiative. The event, scheduled for April 2027, will feature a curated visual art exhibition, a fashion show, live musical and poetic performances, and a silent auction, all aimed at raising visibility and resources for East African LGBTQI+ communities. UHAI invites African and African‑American queer and adjacent visual or performing artists to submit works for exhibition and performance. Selected artists will have their work showcased to an audience of collectors, patrons, activists, and media, and will contribute to a fundraising goal of $300,000 to support community‑based initiatives. No application fee is required. The call is open to artists who identify as queer or are allied and whose practice engages themes of identity, love, liberation, and belonging. The venue is to be announced in New York, NY, USA. This initiative aspires to become an annual platform for art‑driven advocacy.
