2027 Composers' Hub – Programme de développement professionnel destiné aux compositrices
LunART Festival
À Propos de Cette Opportunité
LunART’s 2027 Composers' Hub is an intensive professional development program designed exclusively for women composers (cisgender and transgender) aged 18 and older who are in the early stages of their compositional careers. Six selected composers will work closely with internationally acclaimed composer Sarah Kirkland Snider, receiving individual mentorship, score discussions, masterclasses, and collaborative rehearsals with professional musicians. Participants will develop a new chamber work for a string quartet or any combination of the provided instruments, culminating in a world‑premiere performance at the 2027 LunART Festival (May 18‑23, 2027) in Madison, Wisconsin, with professional audio and video recordings. The program also includes a series of career‑building workshops covering financial literacy, entrepreneurship, grant writing, contracts, copyright, marketing, and networking. Lodging is provided at the Lowell Center on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus, with shared or private room options. While participants must cover travel to Madison and meals, LunART supplies complimentary local bus passes and additional transportation assistance. Applications open on October 19, 2026 and close on November 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm CST. Selected composers are notified on December 15, 2026 and must submit a $200 non‑refundable deposit by December 29, 2026. The program fee (including lodging) is $1,550 for a shared room or $1,750 for a private room, payable in installments.
