Residencia «Writers’ Colony» en Dairy Hollow
The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow (WCDH) is a creative retreat located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, that welcomes writers and artists of all genres and experience levels. The residency program is open year‑round, allowing applicants to schedule stays ranging from three days to three months at any time of year. Applicants submit a writing sample and bio; publication history is not required. A non‑refundable $35 application fee applies to first‑time applicants. Once accepted, residents can book their stay directly without re‑applying for future visits. The colony provides eight individual writing suites, each with a bedroom, private bath, dedicated writing area, Wi‑Fi, air‑conditioning, mini‑fridge, and coffee maker. Residents enjoy chef‑prepared dinners Monday through Friday, served family‑style in the Great Room, and have access to a stocked kitchen for breakfast, lunch, and late‑night snacks. The program also offers need‑based scholarships to offset costs, though scholarships do not cover the full residency fee and have no set deadlines. The colony encourages community engagement, with alumni support and opportunities to give back through workshops, readings, or podcasts. The residency is a rolling call with no fixed deadline, and availability depends on current funding.
