Residencia de Artistas «Uncool» (UAR) – Programa para artistas en línea
Uncool Artist
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
The Uncool Artist Residency (UAR) 2027 is a fully online, twelve‑month program designed for emerging visual artists seeking structured professional development and long‑term visibility. Applicants can join the year‑long track, which guides participants through four thematic quarters—Clarity, Expression, Visibility, and Integration—via weekly group sessions, monthly one‑on‑one mentorship, and rotating curators and artist advisors. The residency provides intensive feedback, portfolio development, and strategic positioning to prepare artists for a curated two‑week solo exhibition in Uncool Gallery’s New York space the following year, followed by representation on Artsy for one to two years. A quarterly option (12‑week modules) is also available for artists who prefer a shorter commitment without the exhibition outcome.
The call opens on September 8, 2026, with a priority review deadline of October 25, 2026 (10 PM ET) and a final deadline of November 8, 2026 (11:59 PM ET). The application fee is $45 USD, with limited waivers. Tuition is $15,200 for the full year or $3,800 per quarter; partial scholarships (up to 50%) are offered for quarterly participants. Applicants must be 18 years or older, proficient in English, and able to commit to the program’s schedule. No relocation, studio rent, or visa logistics are required, and the residency is open to artists of any medium worldwide.
Resources include weekly cohort sessions, monthly mentorship, a supportive international network, documentation assistance, and the final exhibition and gallery representation. While housing is not provided, the program eliminates the need for physical studio space during the residency. The opportunity is recurring, with new editions announced annually.
