Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park (SCCP) invites ceramic and visual artists to participate in its 2027 Artist‑in‑Residence Program. The residency runs from April 1 2027 to March 31 2028, with artists able to choose a stay of 2 months to 1 year. Applicants must be at least 20 years old and may be ceramic artists or artists from other fields. Guest artists travelling from outside Japan may commence only on or after July 1, and the park will be closed for New Years holidays between December 29 and January 3, during which residents must vacate temporarily.

The program offers studio space (38,400 ¥/month, exempt for Guest Artists), presentation spaces, technical support, and a production budget. Accommodation is subsidised (single room 20,300 ¥/month, twin room 26,400 ¥/month). Guest Artists receive an artist fee of 200,000 ¥, material cost up to 100,000 ¥, and firing cost up to 110,000 ¥, as well as travel support to Shigaraki. Residents also gain opportunities for exhibitions, open studios, and workshops.
