The Studio at 2+U, located in Downtown Seattle’s 2+U skyscraper, provides a 1,100‑sq‑ft performing‑arts studio with hardwood floors, a single restroom, and a Bluetooth‑enabled sound system. Shunpike facilitates the use of this space for musical and movement artists and groups, offering one day per week for up to three months at no cost. The residency is open to selected artists each quarter; applicants must submit through Submittable by the deadline. Upon completion, artists may reapply after a three‑month interval. The program aims to support underserved creative communities affected by gentrification and displacement, providing a distraction‑free environment for rehearsal, creation, and public performance. The Studio also hosts small events such as performances, classes, and exhibitions, fostering collaboration and community engagement.
