Silent Manga Audition – «Un corazón bondadoso»

The Silent Manga Audition (SMA) is the world’s largest competition dedicated exclusively to silent manga—stories told entirely through images without dialogue. The 2026‑2027 edition, titled "A Kind Heart", invites creators from around the globe to explore the Japanese concept of omoiyari, conveying kindness and self‑sacrifice through visual storytelling. Entries may be 5–17 pages, and multiple submissions per artist are allowed. The competition is free to enter, with cash prizes awarded to the Grand Prix (¥500,000), Grand Prix Runner‑Up (¥300,000), Excellence Award (¥100,000), Excellence Runner‑Up (¥30,000), and Honourable Mention (¥10,000). Winners receive not only monetary rewards but also an invitation to the SMA MasterClass, where editors provide mentorship toward a potential debut in Japan. Submissions open on 15 November 2026 and close on 15 January 2027, with results announced a few months later. The event is hosted by COAMIX Inc., a Tokyo‑based manga publisher, and is conducted online, making it accessible to artists worldwide.
