Golden Thread Gallery (GTG) in Belfast is looking for an inspirational and strategic Chair to lead its Board of Trustees. The role is voluntary and unpaid, with responsibility for financial solvency, robust governance, and delivering public benefit outcomes. The Chair will act as an ambassador, maintaining relationships with Arts Council Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council, and will work closely with the Board and senior management to drive fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and long‑term sustainability. Applications must include a CV, cover letter, referees and a statement of eligibility, and be submitted by 12 noon on Friday 21 August 2026. Interviews are scheduled for mid‑September. GTG commits to reasonable adjustments for applicants with disabilities. The position offers the chance to influence the gallery’s 100‑year plan and support the visual arts ecosystem in Belfast.
