Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

The Indigenous Languages and Arts (ILA) program is an Australian Government initiative that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to express, conserve and sustain their cultures through languages and arts activities across Australia. The program provides grant funding to community‑led organisations that facilitate the maintenance and revitalisation of Indigenous languages and the development, production, presentation, exhibition or performance of Indigenous arts projects. For the 2026–27 cycle, the ILA program will invest over AUD 48 million, including a component of funding specifically for an annual open‑competitive grant opportunity. Applications for this competitive grant open on 2 February 2026 and close on 16 March 2026. Eligible applicants are community‑led organisations that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through Indigenous language and arts activities. The grant supports one‑off projects, with funding amounts and project durations determined by the assessment criteria. The ILA program also provides operational funding to a network of 25 Indigenous Language Centres throughout Australia. Further information, including the grant guidelines and application portal, can be accessed via the Australian Government’s GrantConnect website and the SmartyGrants online portal.
