Premio de Arte de Kangaroo Valley

The Kangaroo Valley Art Prize is part of the Visual Arts in the Valley biennial festival (2026 edition). Open to any Australian artist or artist residing in Australia, the competition invites up to three original visual artworks per entrant, covering painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital, textile, collage, video and other media. Submissions open on 1 June 2026 and close at 5 pm on 21 August 2026. An entry fee of AU$30 applies to the first two works and AU$20 for a third, payable with the online submission. The prize structure includes a main Kangaroo Valley Art Prize of AU$10,000, a Young & Emerging Art Prize of AU$4,000 (for artists 30 years or younger), a Salon of Local Artists Prize of AU$1,500 (for artists residing in Kangaroo Valley), plus several commendation and people’s choice awards totalling over AU$23,000. Selected works will be exhibited at Kangaroo Valley Hall from 2 to 5 October 2026, with sales commissions of 30 % retained by the organisers.
