Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

Money for Women is the oldest ongoing feminist granting agency in the United States and Canada, administered by the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund. The grant supports individual feminist women (cis, transgender, or non‑binary) who are writers or visual artists in the early or middle stages of their artistic development. Grants range from $500 to $2,000 and are awarded to projects that are well underway and align with a feminist interpretive lens. Applications are accepted in specific genres on a rotating schedule: Visual Art & Fiction in even‑numbered years (January 1‑31) and Poetry & Nonfiction in odd‑numbered years (January 1‑31). The 2027 Poetry & Nonfiction round closes on January 31, 2027, after 250 submissions per genre or the deadline, whichever comes first. A $25 non‑refundable application fee is required. Applicants must submit a project description, budget sample, statement of why they are applying to a feminist fund, and work samples via Submittable. Former grantees must wait three years before re‑applying, and only one genre may be submitted per year. The fund does not support film, video, theatre, dance, music, performance, self‑published works, AI‑generated works without rationale, or educational expenses. Decisions are communicated approximately five months after the deadline.
