MODArts Dance Collective (MADC) invites BIPOC choreographers and dance filmmakers to submit original dance pieces or dance films for its ninth annual Move to Change Dance Festival, taking place on October 9‑10, 2026 at Speyer Hall, University Settlement, New York, NY, with livestream and on‑demand viewing. The 2026 theme, “Ujima,” celebrates collective work and responsibility, drawing on the Kwanzaa principle of community building. Submissions are accepted from July 6, 2026, 11:59 PM EST until August 16, 2026. A $10 application fee supports production costs; there is no participation fee for selected artists. Chosen works will be presented at the festival, streamed online, and may be featured in on‑demand archives. The call is open to BIPOC creators of any age or career stage, with no other eligibility restrictions.
