Root Division invites high school students from the nine‑county Bay Area to submit artwork for MADE IN THE BAY, a youth‑centered exhibition showcasing the creativity and perspectives of the next generation of Bay Area artists and designers. The open call is free and accepts work across a wide range of visual art and design disciplines, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, textiles, fashion, illustration, graphic design, digital art, and more. Submissions are reviewed by a youth jury, and selected works will be exhibited in Root Division’s Main Gallery in San Francisco from January 9 to February 20, 2027. Artists may also choose to sell their work during the exhibition, receiving 60% of any sale price. The call is open to high school students currently enrolled in schools located in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma counties.
