KNOCKvologan
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
Knockvologan Studies, located on the Ross of Mull in the Hebrides, runs a seasonal residency from April to October each year. The programme welcomes artists, designers, writers, musicians, filmmakers, architects and researchers of any nationality to develop projects that explore human‑environment relationships. Residencies last between 2 and 6 weeks and provide a 25 m² studio, a tiny‑house with private bathroom, wood‑burning stove, electricity, running water, and basic kitchen facilities. Participants receive transport to and from Fionnphort bus station, weekly grocery runs, and the option to use local resources such as seaweed and a fishing rod. Applicants cover their own travel, food and materials and pay a modest accommodation fee of £30 per day. Applications are accepted year‑round via email (info@knockvologan.net) with a 1 000‑word proposal, CV and portfolio. The residency culminates in a public presentation of the work.
