Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa)
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
The Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) has launched the Artists Contacts Programme 2026, a grant aimed at fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange in the visual arts. The programme invites artists, art educators, media artists, and cultural institutions from Germany and eligible countries on the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list to propose projects that bring together practitioners from Germany and the Global South or countries in transition. Eligible projects may include working visits, research trips, exhibitions, residencies, workshops, lectures, conferences, or other exchange initiatives. Funding covers mobility costs such as flights, local travel, accommodation, visa fees, overseas health insurance, and a daily food allowance. Projects must demonstrate artistic quality, a clear collaborative or exchange-based approach, and alignment with values such as dialogue, diversity, social cohesion, democratic values, and environmental sustainability. Commercial activities, including art fair participation or artwork sales, are excluded. The application deadline is 30 September 2026, and the programme is recurring annually.
