World Art Forum for Development Foundation (WAFDF)
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
The World Art Forum for Development Foundation (WAFDF) has launched the second edition of its product design competition titled “From Green Papyrus to Timeless Art.” The open call invites designers worldwide to create artistic products—such as furniture, lighting, décor, and functional objects—where papyrus is the main material. The competition emphasizes sustainability, cultural heritage, and innovative use of the ancient Egyptian material. Applicants must be 18 years or older and may submit up to three works, with one work per participant selected for jury evaluation. Participation is free. The jury will assess concept strength, originality, sustainability, and papyrus usage. The competition offers financial prizes, a Sustainability Award, an Audience Choice Award, honourable mentions, certificates, and a digital exhibition of selected works. Applications are accepted until 1 September 2026 via email. Selected works may also be displayed in a physical exhibition.
