Winter Film Festival
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
The Winter Film Festival (WFF), now in its fifteenth year, is a volunteer‑run, women‑ and minority‑led organization that celebrates independent filmmaking in New York City. The festival seeks fresh, creative voices from emerging filmmakers around the globe, accepting narrative, documentary, animation, horror, music video, web series and short or feature‑length projects. Submissions are free and open until November 15, 2026. Selected films will be screened at venues throughout NYC from February 24‑28, 2027, and may be eligible for festival awards and audience prizes. In addition to public screenings, participants gain access to panels, workshops, networking events and mentorship opportunities with industry professionals. The call is open to all filmmakers regardless of nationality, with no age restriction, though the festival emphasizes emerging talent. Applications are submitted online via the festival’s website. No travel or housing support is provided, but the festival offers exposure, potential awards, and professional development resources.
