Festival SUBMERGE 2026

SUBMERGE Festival 2026, hosted by Lake Studios Berlin, runs from 22 August to 20 September 2026. The festival celebrates choreography and creative practice through a series of free, professional‑level labs, public performances, community lunches, and exchange formats such as artist Q&As and youth workshops. Labs are free of charge, but participants are asked to support the festival by purchasing a ticket to the corresponding performance (15‑25 €). The program includes a variety of workshops and performances by international artists, culminating in a battle where the winner receives a residency at Lake Studios Berlin. The festival is wheelchair accessible and offers dedicated transport assistance for those who need it. All events are open to professional dance and performance artists, with ticket purchase required for lab participation. The event is supported by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion and provides networking, mentorship, and exposure opportunities within the European contemporary dance scene.
