Subvención «Factor»: Desarrollo de compositores
FACTOR (Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings)
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

FACTOR’s Songwriter Development program is a Canadian music‑funding initiative that provides a $2,000 subsidy to professional songwriters for a year of development activities. The grant covers 75 % of eligible costs, up to the $2,000 cap, and is intended to support domestic and international travel for co‑writing sessions, songwriting camps, workshops, and eligible showcases. Applicants must be professional songwriters who have at least three commercially exploited copyrights and ten songs written or co‑written in the past 12 months, and they must register with a performing‑rights organization and select "Songwriter" as their business activity in their FACTOR applicant profile. The application process is rolling; submissions are accepted year‑round and must be submitted at least one calendar day before any planned travel departure. The application requires a current biography, a detailed plan for the songwriter development year outlining intended activities, locations, timelines, and objectives, and proof of eligibility. The program is administered by FACTOR, the Canadian Music Fund, and is open to all professional songwriters across Canada.
