Concurso de poesía y prosa – No ficción

The 2026 Non‑Fiction Contest, hosted by EVENT Magazine, invites writers of poetry and prose to submit original, unpublished manuscripts for consideration. The contest is open to all writers, with a special discounted entry fee for Douglas College students. Entries must be 5,000 words or fewer, anonymous, and not previously published or under simultaneous submission. The contest offers a total of $3,000 in cash prizes—$1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second, and $500 for third—alongside publication in the Spring/Summer issue of EVENT. The entry fee of $34.95 (or $19.95 for students) includes a one‑year subscription to EVENT and covers all applicable taxes and shipping.
