Consorcio de Puesta en Marcha Experimental (ECC)

The Experimental Commissioning Consortium (ECC) is a new multi‑year, multi‑organisation initiative led by Performance Space with support from Dancehouse and Creative Australia. It aims to develop ambitious independent art across Australia through three pillars: an artist lab that brings a cohort of artists together to develop and test work in progress; a commissioning fund that provides development investment and early presentation opportunities for selected projects; and a national touring circuit that showcases tour‑ready works across partner organisations. Artists interested in participating in future ECC activities may register their interest via the ECC Artist Register form. The program is open to independent Australian artists working in experimental performance and related interdisciplinary practices. No application fee is required. Selected artists receive development support, potential commissioning funding, mentorship, and opportunities for national touring. The initiative is based at Dancehouse in Melbourne but operates nationally.
