AiR 351 welcomes spontaneous applications throughout the year for its permanent residency program located in Cascais, Portugal (also operating in Torres Vedras). Up to six residents with a studio‑based practice can be accommodated simultaneously, and artists or curators without a studio are also encouraged to apply. The residency is suggested to last a minimum of three months to allow full engagement with the local art community. Residents receive private studios, offices, and shared workspaces, as well as a professional development programme that includes regular studio visits, meetings tailored to each practice, field trips to collections and studios, and technical assistance. Additional benefits may include presentation of work in public events at AiR 351 and through its partner network, invitation letters, and support in finding affordable accommodation in Cascais. Applicants must submit a single PDF containing a motivation letter (max 500 words), CV, and portfolio (max 10 MB) in English, and must not be enrolled in another residency or academic programme during the stay. The selection committee evaluates the quality of work, potential outreach, and fit with the AiR 351 experience. No application fee is required; applicants are responsible for their own travel, living, and accommodation costs, though the organisation offers assistance in locating affordable housing.
