Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

Take A Part CIO and East End Development Trust are commissioning an artist‑producer (or collective) to lead Tides & Tales, a multidisciplinary heritage project in the East End of Plymouth. The commission involves co‑creating two interconnected outputs: a podcast series that records oral histories, working‑class maritime heritage and contemporary migrant stories, and a "Living Museum" cabinet – a mobile, zero‑maintenance exhibition that will travel through community spaces and schools. The project runs over 18 months (November 2026 – March 2027) and includes 40 delivery days, of which at least 25 are embedded community‑engagement workshops with local residents and young lead producers (ages 11‑18). The selected artist will receive a total fee of £16,000 (£12,000 artist fee plus £4,000 production budget) and an honorarium of £250 for shortlisted proposals. Applicants must have a minimum of five years professional experience in socially engaged practice, demonstrable audio‑production or podcasting skills, and experience in 3D design or exhibition fabrication. Self‑employment, public liability insurance (minimum £2 million) and a current DBS check (support provided) are required. The call actively encourages applications from Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse artists and welcomes enquiries from specialists who may wish to partner with complementary practitioners.
