Convocatoria para nuevos miembros del jurado de arte profesional y arte público
Halifax Regional Municipality
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) is inviting applications for new peer jurors to serve on the Grants to Professional Arts Organizations program and Public Art selection juries. The peer jury roster will comprise artists, arts administrators, cultural workers, and other community members who can provide fair, objective, and informed evaluations of grant applications and public art proposals. Eligibility requires self‑identification as a professional artist, arts administrator, cultural worker, or an individual actively involved in related communities of interest, including emerging artists with a demonstrated commitment to a professional arts career. HRM encourages applications from equity‑deserving communities, including Indigenous, African Nova Scotian, Black, racialised, 2SLGBTQIA+, Persons with Disabilities, and other historically under‑represented groups.
The role is paid, with compensation aligned to CARFAC’s Professional Jury Rate. Jurors will be selected from the roster and invited to assess applications throughout the year. Accommodation is available upon request to support equitable participation in the application and peer jury process. Interested individuals should submit an online application via the provided form and email their CV/resume to artgrants@halifax.ca with the subject line “PEER JUROR APPLICATION – [Your Name]”. The application deadline is September 1, 2026. HRM’s Community Developer, Lindsay Cory, can be contacted for further information.
