Convocatoria para artistas: THE DOORS

Lights On Stratford’s 2026/27 winter festival, themed "CANADA: NORTHERN LIGHTS," is calling for Canadian artists to contribute interactive digital pieces for its flagship installation, THE DOORS. The installation will comprise six illuminated, interactive doors, each representing a distinct Canadian region—from Stratford to the North—and will be displayed in Stratford, Ontario, from December 18, 2026 to January 10, 2027. Artists may submit one short video or static image that will be showcased inside a door corresponding to their region of residence, work, origin, or meaningful connection. The call welcomes emerging and established artists aged 18 and over, with a particular emphasis on underrepresented groups, including First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Black, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, newcomer, rural/remote, youth, and other historically marginalized voices. Selected artists will receive a fee of $250 + HST and limited rights to display their work for the festival’s duration. Applications are submitted via an online Google Form, and the deadline is September 23, 2026.
