Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
The OH Art Foundation, in partnership with the Zhou B Art Center, presents the 3rd Annual Black History Festival of the Arts (BHFA27) – INSPIRARE: Breathing Life into New Vision. Curated by Juarez Hawkins and Thomas Lucas, the exhibition will be held in the 2nd‑floor gallery of the Zhou B Art Center, 1029 W. 35th St., Chicago, IL, from January 15 to March 14, 2027. Artists are invited to respond to the legacy of the Black Arts Movement and envision a new future for Black America. Up to two artworks per artist may be submitted; each work must not exceed 12 ft × 10 ft. A one‑time application fee of $30 is required, with financial assistance available on request. Selected artists will have their work exhibited, receive exposure to a broad audience, and may sell works through the gallery (40 % commission). Artists are responsible for shipping their works. The deadline for submissions is December 13, 2026, with notifications by December 22, 2026. The opening reception takes place on January 15, 2027, at 7 pm.
