Artistas en centros de acogida
Beirut Art Center
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, Beirut Art Center launches the "Artists In Shelters" initiative (Nov 11 2024 – Jan 10 2025) to bring the healing power of art to children displaced from their homes. The program assembles a team of artist facilitators with diverse skills to provide creative‑making activities—drawing, painting, crafts, photography, writing, music and more—focused on process rather than product. Participants are asked to have experience working with children and to support the emotional well‑being of young refugees through group art sessions. Volunteers will work alongside NGOs and civic groups that meet the children’s basic needs. The call is open to artists, psychologists and social workers willing to contribute their expertise on the ground. Applications are submitted via an online Google Form. The initiative is supported by the Culture Resource and relies on donations of toys, art supplies and funds, which can be dropped off at the Beirut Art Center.
