Artfields

The ArtFields 2027 Festival, held in Lake City, South Carolina from April 9 to May 1, 2027, is the region’s largest visual art competition and festival. Artists who reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia for at least six months and are over 18 years old are invited to submit original works in any media. Submissions are accepted online through the ArtBooth platform from September 1 to November 1, 2026, with a $25 entry fee. Selected artists will be exhibited throughout downtown Lake City in a variety of venues—including warehouses, restaurants, and boutiques—and will compete for a total of over $100,000 in cash prizes: a $50,000 Grand Prize, a $25,000 Second Place, two People’s Choice Awards of $12,500 each, five Merit Awards of $2,000, and additional Southeast Partnership Awards that provide exhibitions and professional opportunities. Winners are notified in December 2026, and invitations to exhibit are sent in February 2027. The festival offers artists exposure to a wide audience of collectors, curators, critics, and the public, and provides a unique platform for art to be displayed outside traditional gallery walls.
