Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

Metro's Office of Community Engagement invites artists, designers, photographers, poets, illustrators, and interdisciplinary creatives to submit work for consideration in a variety of temporary public art activations across the Washington Metropolitan transit system. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis and may be selected for barricade and construction wall art, digital screen activations, station and facility installations, community and special event activations, or emerging opportunities as they arise. Selected artworks will be featured in temporary formats, potentially displayed for up to three years, and artists will receive an artist fee and support for production. The call is open to individual artists and teams residing in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, with priority given to those within Metro’s service area. Artists must be 18 or older and are encouraged to come from historically underrepresented communities. Applications require contact information, a brief bio and statement, up to five work samples, and a CV, with a total file size limit of 50 MB.
