The Italian Cultural Institute Abu Dhabi invites multicultural artists from the UAE to participate in a one‑day artistic residency and community workshop titled "From Italian Literature to Art: The Practice of Erasure". In collaboration with AT Fine Arts Consultancy, the Institute will host a residency and workshop on September 26, 2026, at its premises. Artists will learn and practice the Erasure technique, inspired by Dante Alighieri and Tom Phillips’ "A Humument", and create original visual artworks using Italian literary texts. All necessary art materials will be supplied by Industria Maimeri. The resulting artworks will be exhibited in an impro‑exhibition at the Institute from October 22 to 31, 2026. Participants must submit an expression of interest, CV, and portfolio by September 18, 2026. The residency is free of charge and open to artists of all backgrounds within the UAE. The program offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange, artistic experimentation, and public presentation of new works.
