Bunnell Street Arts Center’s Alaska AIR Artist‑in‑Residence program seeks international, US and Alaska‑based artists to create new work and engage deeply with the Homer community. Residencies are scheduled between October and April, lasting from one week up to two months. Selected artists receive a $2000 stipend, up to $1000 for travel, a $250 materials allowance, private lodging in a shared apartment, and access to a 1000‑sq‑ft studio/gallery space equipped with audio‑visual and printmaking facilities. The program emphasizes themes such as accessibility, inclusion, decolonization, sustainability, and community well‑being. Residents are expected to contribute a public talk, workshop, or outreach event and share their work through exhibitions, performances, or readings. Applications are open to artists of any discipline and career stage worldwide, with a $25 application fee (waivers available). The next application window closes on October 31, 2026, with the call operating on an alternating‑year cycle.
