After Dark 2026

After Dark 2026 is a captivating juried exhibition that explores the quiet, mysterious, and evocative world that emerges when the sun goes down. The Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) invites artists to use limited palettes, subtle contrasts, and softened forms to express the stillness and introspection of twilight and night. The call is open to artists residing in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, with the exception of sanctioned countries. Submissions must be original 2D or 3D works created within the past three years, with a maximum of six works per artist, and cannot have been exhibited at MFA in the previous three years. Entry fees are US$30 for the first one or two submissions and US$4.50 for each additional submission (up to four). Selected works will be exhibited in MFA’s virtual gallery from October 15 to December 14, 2026, and may be sold through MFA’s Virtual Sales Gallery, with a commission structure and optional shipping reimbursement. The exhibition is blind‑juried by professional art experts, and artists retain a majority share of any sales.
