II Concurso de Poesía Humorística «Wergle Flomp» de 2027

The Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest, now in its 26th year, is a free, international competition organized by Winning Writers, a literary community based in Western Massachusetts, USA. Poets of all ages and nationalities (except those from Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Russia, and Belarus) are invited to submit a single humor poem in English, up to 250 lines, between August 15 2026 and April 1 2027. The contest offers $5,100 in total prizes: $2,000 for first place, $750 for second, $350 for third, and ten honorable mentions of $200 each, along with a two‑year gift certificate and a five‑year subscription to Chill Subs for the winner. All winning entries are published on the Winning Writers website, announced in the Winning Writers Newsletter, and may be considered for print publication. Submissions are judged anonymously; no cover letter or author information should be included. The contest is open to both unpublished and previously published work, and accepts cartoons that incorporate a humor poem or inspired gibberish.
