The 2027 Aminah Robinson Writer/Scholar/Researcher Residency, administered by the Greater Columbus Arts Council in partnership with the Columbus Museum of Art, invites African American writers, scholars, and researchers to spend 90 days in Columbus, Ohio, working on a chosen project. Applicants must be U.S. permanent residents, professional or pre‑professional writers, scholars, or researchers, aged 18 or older, and not enrolled as degree‑seeking students. The residency provides a $15,000 unrestricted cash award, lodging, and studio access in the renovated home of the late artist Aminah Robinson. Residents are expected to complete a community engagement project, such as a public writing workshop or lecture, in collaboration with the museum. The application period opens September 2, 2026, and closes October 2, 2026, with notifications sent by November 9, 2026. The residency runs from May 1 to July 30, 2027, and requires a 90‑day commitment.
