Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

The Nebraska Arts Council (NAC) provides a comprehensive grant program that supports a wide spectrum of artistic endeavors across the state. The program includes Arts Project Grants for public-facing productions, Arts Learning Grants for educational projects in schools and community settings, and Artists in Schools/Communities Sponsor Grants to hire artists for interactive learning sessions. Additional categories cover touring programs, state poet presentations, accessibility initiatives, school bus arts trips, individual artist fellowships, creative aging projects, micro grants for first‑time applicants, creative district development, invitation‑only grants, and mini grants for rapid funding.

Eligibility is primarily limited to Nebraska artists and arts organizations, though specific categories may impose additional criteria such as residency, discipline, or project type. Grants are awarded on a first‑come, first‑served basis with a floating deadline for FY26, covering projects that begin July 1 2026 through June 30 2027. Funding amounts vary by category, ranging from a few thousand dollars for micro grants to larger sums for individual fellowships and touring programs.

Applications are submitted through the NAC Grant Interface. Applicants must log in, review the detailed guidelines for each category, and complete the online application. The NAC encourages applicants to view tutorial videos and attend webinars on application strategy and budgeting. Successful applicants receive grant funding contingent on federal NEA support, with payment timelines typically within 4–8 weeks of award notification.

The NAC’s mission is to foster creative innovation statewide, promote cultural and generational diversity, and provide access to the arts for underserved communities. The grant program reflects this mission by offering financial support for a diverse array of artistic projects and community outreach initiatives.
