ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS: Kunststipendien

The ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS, in cooperation with the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media, annually awards seven art scholarships to professional visual artists and artistic groups residing in Hamburg. The scholarships aim to provide financial support that enables artists to focus on their work over an extended period, whether that involves research, concept development, further training, artistically motivated stays abroad, or the creation and presentation of new works such as exhibitions, performances, publications, workshops, or digital projects. Applicants must have completed artistic training and/or demonstrate several years of professional artistic activity, be residents of Hamburg, not be enrolled as university students, and not receive other federal grants from the Ministry of Culture and Media. For groups, at least one member must live in Hamburg and the group must have a long‑term collaboration. The application is submitted online through the Hamburg Service Portal, and the selection is made by a jury of experts. Successful applicants are notified by email in November and must submit a substantive report on their artistic work and development in March of the following year. The scholarship amount is not specified on the call page, but seven awards are granted each year.
